Military Family Information-Archived

Welcome to our school!

My name is Lynne Spencer and I am your MFLC this school year. I am very excited to be here at Crown Point! I will be providing individual and hopefully group counseling services via Zoom as we are working virtually until further notice. Please feel free to email or telephone me with any questions regarding services or potential referrals. MLFCs are licensed counselors specializing in child and youth behavioral issues. MLFCs support students in developing positive coping skills and solution focused problem solving strategies. MFLCs help military students with a wide range of challenges including: ▪ School adjustment ▪ Deployment and separation ▪ Reunion adjustment ▪ Sibling and parent-child communication ▪ Behavioral concerns ▪ Fear, grief, and loss MFLC sessions and services are private and confidential with the exception of child abuse/neglect, domestic abuse and other duty-to-warn situations. No names or notes will be taken during MFLC sessions. The current contract requires that all sessions will be line of sight with a parent of adult visible in the Zoom screen. You can stand far enough way to allow the child privacy and permit the confidentially to be maintained. In addition a consent form must be signed by the parent prior to any session. For your convenience I have attached the form. You are to return the form to the school as they keep a record for reference. My phone number is 619 980-0649 and email is [email protected]
